Are You an E-hoarder Pack Rat?
I’m sure many of us have seen or heard of people who are pack rats, collection physical objects in their homes, garages, and even rental units. But I just found out that there are E-hoarders, people who save every email, picture, bookmarked web site, etc. In our digital age it is easy to do this without realizing that it is possibly some kind of OCD. It is possible that someone may be both a physical hoarder and an ehoarder.
What distinguishes ehoarder from normal people is that ehoarders feel the need to be connected to the pictures and other computer items. If they were to loose one or many items, then that person will possibly become histerical and upset. With social networking sites it is even more easy to receive pictures or text that a person will want to save. An ehoarder will have the same OCD DSM criteria as any other OCD.
